Determine your Customer’s Pain Points for Inbound Marketing

When you are conducting inbound marketing strategies, you will need a vast amount of content. It is this content that explains everything, as without high quality, meaningful, engaging content, you will not create any inbound leads at all.
One of the fundamentals of your inbound marketing content should be to strive towards remedying your clients pain points. If they have issues with something and your products or services can remedy them and assist them to surpass those issues, then they need to be informed.
Integrating your target audience’s pain points within your social media, audio, vlog or blog posts, will enable prospects to feel like a member of the team, and they will value what you are doing to assist them.
The question now is how can you identify which pain points need to be focused on?
Ask Them
One of the most obvious ways to discover what your customers pain points are, is to consult them. This is the easier route and will present you with the best answer. Trusting your customers are willing to inform you of their issues that is.
If you are to stand any chance of solving these problems through inbound marketing, you will have to find out what their pain points are. If you are unable to ask directly, due to sensitivity, or lack of time during transaction, then conducting market research is the best option.
Request information from your target market and ask them what their primary concerns are. You should also ask how they believe their lives could be made easier or how they feel those pain points could be addressed better. Market research should also consider what types of content your target audience like to engage with and what channels they like to be approached on.
Speak to Your Sales Team
If you have a sales team, bring them together for a regular team meeting. Discover what it is people are against, what pain points are the team facing, and try to establish how they are managing these problems (assuming that they are that is).
By communicating to the entire team at one time, you will be able to consider the types of issues people are having and the current processes you use (or could use) to alleviate those issues.
This will also enable you to create a high-quality inbound marketing strategy. Addressing pain points can be done through writing posts, blogs, audio or developing videos that address each issue. You can also train your accounts and sales teams on how to address those pain points and how to solution find when they are approached by prospective or existing clients.
Look at Online Reviews
Online reviews are a good way to uncover the reasons why your potential customers are frustrated. To do this successfully you will need to locate a product or service similar to your own. Then you need to research what people are saying.
Negative reviews left by customers giving specific details as to why they are unhappy say a lot.
Positive reviews can be extremely useful too, as they may mention bad points, even if the experience was a good one overall. You can also compare these reviews with your own products, services, features and processes.
Now you are aware of the problems with your competitor’s products or services, you can address them and discuss how your products and services remedy them within your inbound marketing strategy.
